We would like to welcome you to a design talk on the theme "Pleasant life and textile" together with Reiko Sudo, Åsa Pärson (Konstfack) and Katarina Swanström (Moderna Museet).
Reiko Sudo is co-founder, current CEO and design director of Nuno Corporation of Tokyo, universally recognized as one of the world’s most innovative textile companies. Reiko Sudo is also an advisory board member of Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. since 2016. Her works have been shown at major international museums, including New York’s Museum of Modern Art, London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, and the National Museum of Modern Art’s Craft Gallery in Tokyo.
Åsa Pärson is a freelance designer and hand weaver based in Stockholm Sweden. Åsa has a master degree in design from Konstfack, University college of Arts, Craft and Design, Stockholm. Asa started her company in 2001 and has worked with design assignments for the renowned company Kvadrat A/S since 2004. As a hand weaver and curator Åsa has curated craft exhibitions in Sweden, Finland, U.K and Japan and was a member of the renowned craft cooperative, Konsthantverkarna for many years
Katarina Swanström joined Moderna Museet in 2004 and works as Head of Development. Swanström received a BA in art history from Stockholm University. She is a specialist in modern and contemporary art, fundraising and marketing.
